With the ongoing pandemic, a clean hand is vital in this fight against an unseen enemy. The transmission of the virus can only be put to a halt if minimum health protocols like hand washing are observed.
This is the aim of the Western Institute of Technology - Senior High School Student Council in conducting the Global Handwashing Day Activity on October 14.
Two contests were launched to commemorate the said occasion. The first contest is "A CLEAN HAND IS A CARING HAND: A HANDWASHING ACTIVITY AND TIKTOK CONTEST". Out of the 7 entries, 3 rightful winners were chosen. Jeanalyn Paracale (Entry #3) from 11- Commitment grabbed 3rd place, Fritz John Jolin and Jose Mari Causing (Entry #6) of 12-Jobs finished 2nd with their amazing teamwork, and lastly, Jevena Mae Amor (Entry #1) of 12-Fleming reached 1st place. The second contest was "SONG MO KALUSUGAN KO: A SONG WRITING CONTEST". The only winner of the contest was Glaiza Mae Salvaloza (Entry #1) from 11-Humility.
The contests were judged by Ma'am Ana Fia Japitana, Ma'am Cindy Moneva, Sir Joneil Galas, and Sir Wedsea Amada.
The whole celebration ended with everyone instilling in their minds the significance of a clean hand and a healthy well-being.
