𝐖𝐈𝐓-𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏

"Our teachers are not just people whose occupation are confined in the classrooms, whether virtually or physically. They are also guides who give us invaluable lessons to achieve success in life," words captioned by the Western Institute of Technology - Senior High School Student Council SY 2021-2022 at their official page as they commence World Teachers' Day Celebration.

There are several activities during the said event. All of which are done virtually. From guessing game, wherein the Student Council provided a brief description for the participants to predict a teacher, to impersonation, and the "point-of-view" contest.

The Teacher's Impersonation Contest garnered a total of 14 entries, each impersonating the dedicated and passionate teachers of WIT SHS. The purpose of this contest is to showcase the talents of the students in impersonating their favorite teachers, as well as show the traits that are unique among the teachers of WIT SHS. There were only 3 out of 14 entries that were declared the winners, the following are Grade 11-Loyalty (#14) as the 2nd runner-up, Grade 12-Paccoli (#12) as the 1st runner-up, and Grade 12-Newton (#11) as the grand champion.

On the other hand, the Point of View(POV) Contest featured the relatable scenarios during face-to-face classes, and it aimed for the students to recall their pre pandemic school memories since the classes are currently online. There were 13 sections who made it to the contest; out of those 13, only 3 entries were declared the winners. Grade 12 - Aristotle(#6) reached 3rd place, Grade 11 - Trustworthiness(#2) finished 2nd place, and Grade 12 - Newton(#7) grabbed 1st place.

The contests were judged by few chosen faculty of WIT-SHS Department. Only a few may have won the contests, nevertheless, every student has given their best. They all had the courage and willingness to participate and with that in mind, they are all considered winners.

In the latter, each section participated with a gratitude video of their own. Filled with warm and heartfelt greetings, those were uploaded at the Official Facebook Page of WIT-SHS Student Council. One by one, the advisers were mentioned with a "Thank you" phrase. The feels bring back past Teachers' Day Celebrations before the pandemic, but rather virtually.

The multi-day-long event concluded with a special gratitude video from the Student Council.

"As we celebrate your special day, we'd like to express our utmost gratitude to our super teachers who have been by our side throughout the integration of the new normal system. To all teachers that have continuously guided us and supported us throughout the year, Happy Teachers' Day! ", Ms. Princess Ann Calise, the President of the Student Council, addressed in the denouement of the video.
